Basin briefs for Jan. 6, 2020

MOSES LAKE — Belly dancing, cardio yoga and children’s sports are all on the schedule from the City of Moses Lake’s Parks and Recreation Department starting this week.

Introduction to Egyptian belly dancing will be offered every Wednesday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Jan. 8-29. The class is intended for beginners, according to a press release from the City, and intended to be fun and educational at the same time. Cost is $50 per participant.

Cardio yoga will be offered Thursdays from 6-7 p.m. Jan. 9-Feb. 27. Organizers describe cardio yoga as “a sweat-drenched, mind-altering journey that elevates the euphoric endorphin high of fitness into the next dimension.” Cost is $64 per person.

Tiny Tots Soccer will be offered on Tuesdays Jan. 7, 14, 21 and 28 for kids 18 months through 3 years 11 months, and Tiny Tots Football Fridays, January 10, 17, 24 & 31 for kids 26 months old through 5 years, 11 months. Both programs are $43 per child, plus an additional $40 each for siblings.
