Field narrows in bid to lead Chancellor Merkel's CDU party
BERLIN (AP) — The field of candidates hoping to take over leadership of German Chancellor Angela Merkel's party narrowed Tuesday, as one top contender announced that he was bowing out of the race to support another in his bid.
