Maricopa supervisors appoint replacement county assessor

PHOENIX (AP) — The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously Friday to appoint Gilbert Town Councilman Eddie Cook as county assessor to replace Paul Petersen, his indicted predecessor.
