The Nation's Weather for Saturday, February 8, 2020
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
A weak disturbance will bring some flurries and snow showers
to the Ohio Valley and central Appalachians tomorrow.
Bitterly cold air will grip areas from the Upper Midwest to
New York state and New England, with more seasonable
temperatures expected farther south. A few showers may dot
the Southern states, but much of the region can expect a dry
day with some sunshine. The Plains will be dry with milder
air surging into northern and central areas ahead of a storm
system. This storm will produce a swath of accumulating
snowfall and slippery travel from the mountains of
Washington and Oregon to Montana and Wyoming. Rain or a
mixture of rain and snow will fall across the lower
elevations of the Pacific Northwest. The Southwest will stay
dry before a cold storm dives into the region by Sunday.
