Moses Lake Lioness club gives to toy drive
MOSES LAKE — Moses Lake Lioness club members recently donated money to a toy drive at the Moses Lake Food Bank, blankets to the Columbia Basin Cancer Foundation and presents to New Hope and Columbia Crest Center extended-care facility.
The Moses Lake Food Bank received a $500 donation for the purchase of Christmas presents for the food bank’s Operation Friendship. Lioness members donated 26 blankets to the cancer foundation for its patients. The presents were delivered to New Hope for one of its client families. New Hope works with domestic violence survivors and their families.
Club members also gave presents to quarantined residents of Columbia Crest Center.
The money for all donations was raised through the Lioness Spaceburger sales. The burgers are a Moses Lake and Lioness tradition, sold during each Grant County Fair and at other fairgrounds events.
