NC Supreme Court removing portrait of slave owner ex-justice

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — The North Carolina Supreme Court announced Tuesday that it will remove a portrait of a former chief justice from its courtroom who staunchly defended slavery and owned slaves himself.
