The Nation's Weather for Thursday, December 10, 2020

_____

NATIONAL SUMMARY

Mild air that has been building over the nation's midsection

the past few days will expand into the Southeastern and

mid-Atlantic states tomorrow. Snow showers are expected to

wind down across upstate New York and New England as chilly

air lingers in these areas. Dry weather with sunshine will

encompass the balance of the Central and Eastern states. A

storm system that is poised to unleash a swath of snow over

the Midwest by the weekend will begin to take shape across

Arizona and New Mexico, with rain and some snow in the high

terrain. A fresh batch of chilly air will spill southward

across the interior West, while a new storm arrives with

rain along the western Oregon coastline. Continued dry

weather and localized breezes will keep the fire danger

elevated in California.
