WENATCHEE — Patrons of the North Central Regional Library system, now called NCW Libraries, will be able to start using its mail order service Sept. 14.

The system announced a name change, to NCW Libraries, Aug. 18.

The mail order system was shut down, along with all libraries in the system, in March by state order because of the COVID-19 outbreak. Over the summer, some services have been restored or modified, but mail order is still suspended.

Beginning Sept. 14, library card holders will be able to reserve items from any branch in the system and have them mailed to them. The distribution center is in Wenatchee, and the Chelan County facilities had remained closed even after libraries in Grant, Okanogan and Ferry counties had resumed some services.

Library district patrons in Grant County can return books, and NCW library facilities in Grant County allow for curbside pickup of materials housed at that library.
