The Republican National Convention kicked off Monday, Aug. 24 with President Trump's formal nomination for a second term and runs through Thursday, Aug. 27. Activities are planned from 8:30-11 p.m. ET throughout the week. Vice President Mike Pence will address the RNC Wednesday from Baltimore’s Fort McHenry, which inspired “The Star-Spangled Banner.” Other speakers include the vice president’s wife Karen Pence, President Trump’s daughter-in-law Lara Trump, several members of Congress, and counselor to the president Kellyanne Conway. President Trump plans to give his formal acceptance speech from the White House South Lawn on Thursday. Timings of the speeches have not yet been released.
