WASHINGTON (AP) — In a story August 25, 2020, about President Donald Trump’s announcement that acting Secretary of Homeland Security Chad Would would be nominated to be the secretary, The Associated Press erroneously reported how many days he had served as acting secretary. It has been nearly 300 days, not over 500 days.
