August 21

Officers responded to Montlake Park for a report of a spray-painted bathroom wall.

Officers responded to the 1500 block of South Monroe Street for a report of spray-painting found on the wall of an apartment building.

Officers responded to the 400 block of South Birch Street for a report of a generator stolen out of the bed of a pickup truck sometime overnight.

Officers responded to the 500 block of South Atlantic Street for a report of a red dirt bike motorcycle stolen sometime overnight.

Officers responded to Samaritan Hospital for a report of a woman in need of support getting out of a physically abusive relationship. Police gave her information about seeking no-contact/protection orders and contacted New Hope on her behalf.

August 22

Officers responded to the 1800 block of West Crouse Street for a report of a vehicle prowled overnight, in which a number of items including the vehicle’s insurance and registration paperwork were stolen.

Officers responded to the 4300 block of Grape Drive Northeast for a report of an attempted break-in overnight.

Officers responded to the area of West Marina Drive for a report of a man with a possible gunshot wound found in this location who was transported to the hospital.

Officers responded to the 1100 block of South Alderwood Drive for a report of a woman threatening her husband, saying that the man she was sleeping with would come to his house to rob and assault him.

Officers responded to the area of East Broadway Avenue and state Route 17 northbound for a report of steer loose in the roadway. Police were able to carol three steers, but the fourth remained at-large.

Officers responded to the 900 block of East Hill Avenue for a report of a man who had for the last several days knocked every night on the door of a woman he dated years previous. Police advised the suspect that his behavior bordered on stalking and that he was trespassed from the residence.

August 23

Officers responded to the 1000 block of West Lakeside Drive for a report of an intoxicated driver who defecated in his shorts and soiled the ground while talking to police.

Officers responded to the 1400 block of South Skyline Drive for a report of a break-in that had occurred while the occupants were away for the weekend.

Officers responded to the 3000 block of Road H Northeast for a report of a man stalking an ex-girlfriend.

Officers responded to the 900 block of South Dahlia Drive for a report of a man stalking a woman who caretakes for residences in the area.

Grant County Jail

August 21

Richard Anthony Garza, 35, of Moses Lake, was booked on charges of possession, delivery or manufacture of a schedule IV controlled substance, as well as for outstanding warrants related to fourth-degree domestic violence assault.

Peter Joe Moreno, 47, of Moses Lake, was booked on charges of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, as well as outstanding warrants related to possession of a controlled substance.
