The AP plans the following coverage. Find all the AP's coverage on AP Newsroom's Racial Injustice hub, and the latest plans in Coverage Plan.

WEDNESDAY, AUG. 26:

RACIAL INJUSTICE-AL SHARPTON: For more than three decades, the Rev. Al Sharpton has been a go-to advocate for Black American families seeking justice and peace in the wake of violence and countless incidents that highlight systemic racism. But many of the civil rights activists who trained him as a young man have passed on, and the 65-year-old Sharpton is looking to show that the nonviolence movement isn’t dead. With Friday’s March on Washington commemoration, taking place on the 57th anniversary of the Rev. Martin Luther King’s delivery of the “I Have A Dream” speech, Sharpton will showcase his life’s work, lifting up the Black families who suffer from America’s broken promises and King’s unrealized dream. UPCOMING: 1000 words, photos, by 11 a.m.

THURSDAY, AUG. 27:

RACIAL INJUSTICE-BLACK LIVES CONVENTION: Thousands of Black activists from across the U.S. will hold a virtual convention designed to develop a set of demands ahead of the November general election. The 2020 Black National Convention will take place Aug. 28 via a live broadcast and feature conversations, performances and other events. UPCOMING: 1000 words, photos, by 12 p.m.

FRIDAY, AUG. 28:

RACIAL INJUSTICE-MARCH ON WASHINGTON: A national commemoration of the March on Washington will take place on the 57th anniversary of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have A Dream” speech. One of the organizers, the Rev. Al Sharpton, has asked marchers in cities including Louisville, Kentucky, and Houston to join satellite marches planned in states considered hot spots for COVID-19. UPCOMING: 900 words by 1 a.m. Will be updated from programming beginning at 11 a.m. , with March beginning at 1 p.m. Photos, video planned. Additional coverage planned of the Louisville march. Other marches will be covered on merit.

SATURDAY, AUG. 29:

ELECTION 2020-MARCH ON WASHINGTON: The March on Washington is expected to draw thousands, marking a moment of peaceful protest amid immense unrest over police brutality and systemic racism across the nation. But experts and activists are hopeful it will translate into action -- specifically voter mobilization ahead of November’s presidential election, which many view to be one of the most consequential in recent memory. UPCOMING: 900 words, photos, by 11 a.m.
