Free Wi-Fi hot spots set up ahead of school year
MOSES LAKE — Eighteen free Wi-Fi hot spots have been established in areas throughout the Moses Lake community through a partnership between Moses Lake School District and Grant County Public Utility District.
A press release from the school district said that as the school year approaches it is important to work together to address the challenge of broadband equity for students.
Wi-Fi access is not limited to students, the press release stated. Residents merely need to arrive at the location and search for “HomeworkHotspot” in their device’s Wi-Fi network settings. There is no password required.
The district invited anyone searching for a job or filing for unemployment to take advantage of the free broadband.
