NATIONAL SUMMARY

Thunderstorms will rumble in the Ohio Valley and Southeast

tomorrow. A second area of thunderstorms is expected in the

Upper Peninsula of Michigan, eastern Minnesota, northern and

western Wisconsin and northern and central Iowa. Spotty

afternoon thunderstorms will affect south-central Colorado,

much of New Mexico and northern and eastern Arizona. The

mountains of Southern California will also be at risk for a

spotty afternoon thunderstorm. Elsewhere, much of the

northern Rockies and northern and central Plains will be dry

and hot. Temperatures over 100 F will be found as far north

as eastern Montana. Readings exceeding 110 will be found in

the hottest deserts of southeastern California and western

Arizona.
