Belarusian ambassador resigns after supporting protesters

MINSK, Belarus (AP) — The Belarusian ambassador to Slovakia, who supported protesters rallying against his country's authoritarian president, said Tuesday he has handed in his resignation, a move indicating growing dissent at a high level of government.
