CENSUS-DOOR KNOCKERS
ORLANDO, Fla. — Days into the start of widespread door-knocking for the 2020 head count, some census takers are complaining about administrative snafus and say they wished they had better masks for protection against the new coronavirus. Up to a half million census takers started hitting the streets last week to knock on the doors of around 56 million homes that haven’t yet responded to the 2020 census. The Associated Press talked to four census takers who said they wished the personal protective equipment the Census Bureau gave them was of higher quality. They were given cotton white cloth masks and a small bottle of hand sanitizer. By Mike Schneider. SENT: 1,00 words, photos.
