One new coronavirus case in Adams County, 27 in Grant County

MOSES LAKE — Grant County Health District officials said there were 27 new cases of coronavirus in the district on Wednesday. The Adams County Health Department reported one new case, in Hatton.

The new cases in Grant County were residents of Moses Lake, Ephrata, Warden, Royal City, the Quincy area and the Othello area in Grant County.

In Grant County, 15 people with the coronavirus were hospitalized as of Aug. 12, according to GCHD. Two Adams County residents were hospitalized.

Health district officials are reviewing the death certificate of a Grant County resident to determine if he or she died of coronavirus or its complications, the press release said. As of Wednesday, Grant County had 1,626 positive tests over the months of the pandemic. Adams County had 462 positive tests as of Wednesday.
