| August 12, 2020 6:19 PM

GRANT COUNTY — Grant County Health District announced late Wednesday that a 13th person, a Warden man in his 40s, has died of complications associated with COVID-19.

According to the health district, the Warden man, who was not named, died in his home and had an underlying condition that put him at greater risk for “severe complications” of COVID-19. The health district did not state what that underlying condition was.

“In the course of two weeks, GCHD has reported the deaths of five COVID-19 positive patients who died due to complication of the virus,” GCHD Administrator Theresa Adkinson stated in a press release.

To limit the spread of the virus, the health district asks county residents to limit the size of their gatherings, maintain at least six feet of distance from another person, wash hands frequently, stay at home as much as possible, and to wear a face covering in public.
