NATIONAL SUMMARY
Spotty thunderstorms are expected from eastern New York
southward through South Carolina tomorrow. Thunderstorms may
be slightly more numerous along the immediate East Coast.
Farther west, late-afternoon thunderstorms capable of
producing flash flooding and damaging winds will rumble
across far eastern Wyoming as well as portions of South
Dakota and Nebraska. Elsewhere, afternoon thunderstorms will
erupt across southern and eastern New Mexico. Storms will
also dot the landscape along the Gulf Coast. Widespread
temperatures in the 80s will be felt in the Northeast,
mid-Atlantic and Great Lakes. Highs in the 90s will be
common from Nebraska southward to Texas and eastward to
South Carolina. The hottest locations of the Desert
Southwest will again top 110.
