Twelfth COVID-19-related death in Grant County announced

MOSES LAKE — Grant County Health District officials on Friday announced a 12th coronavirus-related death in the county. The patent was a Moses Lake man his 80s.

The GCHD announcement said the man was living in an extended-care facility and did not identify the facility.

He had underlying conditions that put him at higher risk for severe complications and was hospitalized at the time of his death.

The health district said death announcements have been delayed so families can have time to notify loved ones. District officials verify coronavirus is listed as a cause of death on the death certificate to ensure deaths are not being reported in error, the announcement said.
