Coronavirus: 36 new cases in Grant County

MOSES LAKE — Grant County Health District reported 36 new confirmed cases of coronavirus Friday.

The new cases are residents of the Mattawa area, the Quincy area, Moses Lake, Royal City, Soap Lake, Warden and the rural Othello area, according to the health district.

Two previously reported cases were determined to be residents of other counties and were removed from the Grant County total. The county has had 1,472 confirmed cases of coronavirus since the pandemic began.

A review is pending of death certificates in two cases where the patient is suspected to have died from coronavirus complications, according to health district statistics. As of Friday, 12 people with the coronavirus were hospitalized.
