NATIONAL SUMMARY

Thunderstorms will rumble from Pennsylvania and New Jersey

southward through Florida tomorrow. Farther west, spotty

thunderstorms will be found in Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri and

Arkansas. Thunderstorms will erupt late in the afternoon

over North Dakota and South Dakota and could bring hail,

tornadoes, flash flooding on the local level and damaging

wind gusts. A few storms will occur during the afternoon in

New Mexico and southern Colorado. Heat will sear the High

Plains with widespread temperatures in the 90s with some

areas around the century mark. The highest temperatures will

be found in the Desert Southwest, with readings over 110 in

the hottest locations. Readings in the Great Lakes and

Northeast will largely be in the 70s and 80s.
