Irrigation district notifies farmers

QUINCY — The Quincy-Columbia Basin Irrigation District announced that Sept. 5 will be the last Saturday for ditchrides this season. In a press release, the district said canal surveillance will be done by supervisory personnel. Also, after Sept. 5, no water changes will be made on Saturday or Sunday unless it is an emergency. Phone messages will be taken on Saturday all day and until 11:30 a.m. on Sunday for Monday deliveries, the district said.
