Coronavirus: Benge sees first case

OTHELLO — Benge, an unincorporated community in Adams County, had its first confirmed case of the coronavirus on Wednesday, according to Adams County Health Department.

Benge joins Othello, Ritzville, Lind, Washtucna and Hatton as Adams County communities that have been affected by the coronavirus.

From Monday until Thursday, there were 37 new cases in Othello, one new case in Hatton and one new case in Ritzville, in addition to Benge’s first case, the health department reported.

Countywide there have been 427 cases of the coronavirus. Othello had 414 of them. Ritzville has had six cases, Lind has had three cases, Washtucna has had one case and Hatton has had two.
