The Nation's Weather for Thursday, August 6, 2020
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
A weak storm system sliding through the mid-Atlantic
tomorrow will be responsible for sparking showers and
thunderstorms across portions of the mid-Atlantic and
Southeast that were recently drenched by Isaias. Some of the
storms could rekindle flooding concerns, especially if they
track over some of the hardest-hit areas. Farther north
across the Northeast and New England, high pressure overhead
will allow residents to dry out in the wake of Isaias.
Similarly across the Great Lakes and Ohio Valley, dry
weather is expected as well. Another round of showers and
thunderstorms are expected to blossom across the Plains as a
storm system slides out of the Rockies and into the High
Plains. With the exception of a few showers across the
Pacific Northwest, much of the West will remain dry.
