Othello, Adams County close to court agreement

OTHELLO — Adams County and the city of Othello are close to an agreement about the sharing of the costs to maintain Othello District Court, Police Chief Phil Schenck told city council members during an online meeting Monday.

Adams County is prepared to accept a three-year deal that would have Othello pay roughly $160,000 per year for its portion, Schenck told the council.

Council member Corey Everett asked to see the specific numbers of any proposed contract and asked for Schenck to provide that contract to the next council meeting for review.
