PHOENIX (AP) — In a story August 2, 2020, about Republican Arizona legislative primaries, The Associated Press erroneously reported the timing of misconduct allegations against former state Sen. Steve Montenegro, who is seeking a state House seat. The allegations became public after he resigned his state Senate seat in December 2017 to make an unsuccessful run for Congress, not while he was in office.
