Registration open for virtual cancer fundraiser

WENATCHEE — A Wenatchee-based organization that provides support services for cancer patients throughout north central Washington is sponsoring a fundraising run, at least in a virtual way, May 9.

The 5-kilometer run or walk is sponsored by Wellness Place, which provides services for cancer patients in Grant, Okanogan, Douglas and Chelan counties. Organizers are asking for a $25 donation.

Participants are asked to run or walk, outdoors (with social distancing) or indoors, and post pictures to the organization’s social media. The deadline to finish and post is May 9. To register, visit www.wellnessplacewenatchee.org.
