Ephrata landfill reopened

EPHRATA — The Grant County landfill reopened its gates for regular operations on Monday, April 27. Operating hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Landfill officials have asked those using the landfill to be patient if there is an increase in traffic and delays. They will also be enforcing social distancing, keeping six feet of separation between customers. Anyone not following instructions or violating social distancing may be asked to leave.

At this time, the water pump at the landfill is not working. There are no public restrooms or potable water available.
