NATIONAL SUMMARY

A storm system will develop over the Tennessee Valley

tomorrow and bring rain to much of the area. This same

system will ramp up the threat for severe weather into the

Carolinas by the evening. Damaging wind gusts, localized

flash flooding and even isolated tornadoes will be possible

in the area. Elsewhere, another round of wet weather is in

store for the Pacific Northwest. The rest of the Western and

Central states will remain dry with the exception of a few

stray showers in the eastern Dakotas. Temperatures will

trend well above normal once again for much of the Southwest

and record high temperatures will be challenged. Meanwhile,

portions of Texas will experience more seasonable conditions

following a few days of abnormal warmth.
