Smoke from wildfires near Chernobyl engulfs Ukraine capital

KYIV, Ukraine (AP) — Smoke from wildfires in the contaminated evacuation zone around the wrecked Chernobyl nuclear power plant has engulfed Kyiv, placing the Ukrainian capital near the top of the global air pollution index.
