Officers responded to the area of West Peninsula Drive and South Interlake Road for a report of gang-related graffiti painted on the Peninsula Drive overpass over Interstate 90. Due to COVID-19 protocols, police noted that it will take longer than usual to cover or remove the tag.
Officers responded to Samaritan Hospital to assist Child Protective Services in taking in a day-old infant into protective custody.
Officers responded to the area of South Russell Avenue and West Texas Street for a report of graffiti painted inside of a public bathroom.
Officers responded to the 800 block of North Evelyn Drive for a report of a vehicle prowling that occurred sometime in the last week, in which around $500 worth of sound equipment was stolen.
Officers responded to the police department for a report of a woman attempting to turn herself in on outstanding warrants. Due to jail restrictions, however, the woman was not able to be booked into custody.
Officers responded to the 1200 block of West Malaga Avenue for a report of a used syringe found in that area. Police disposed of the syringe.
Officers responded to McCosh Park for a report of juveniles playing basketball. Police advised them of the governor’s orders against public gatherings and the juveniles dispersed.
Officers responded to Lakeside Motel for a report of two subjects that were reportedly taking advantage of a tenant. Both people were trespassed.
Officers responded to the 1600 block of East Truman Drive for a report of child abuse. Police notified Child Protective Services.
Officers responded to the Grocery Outlet parking lot for a report of a woman asleep in her vehicle. Though the woman was found to have an outstanding felony warrant for burglary, officers were unable to confirm those warrants with the local jail due to booking restrictions.
