A new $2.3 trillion Fed plan to buttress towns, businesses

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Federal Reserve said Thursday it would pump an up to an additional $2.3 trillion into critical segments of the U.S. economy, seeking to boost small- and mid-sized businesses as well as state and local governments.
