MOSES LAKE — The skate park and all park playgrounds in Moses Lake are temporarily closed until further notice to help prevent the spread of coronavirus, city officials said in a statement.
“The decision follows a national trend of public facility closures across the county,” the city wrote. “According to an open survey conducted by the National Recreation and Park Association, about 90 percent of park playgrounds and skate parks are now closed in the United States.”
Parks are still otherwise open, according to the city’s website, though visitors are asked to remain six feet away from others and are not allowed to gather in groups of ten people or more.
