One company’s way of saying ‘thank you’ to health care workers

MOSES LAKE — The folks at Assured Home Health wanted to show a little appreciation for nurses, physical therapists and other health care workers.

So they put up a series of signs in front of Assured’s 1417 S. Pioneer address, a little like the Burma-Shave roadside advertisements of yore.

Well, without the poetry.

“Thank you.” “Nurses.” “Therapists.” “Our heroes.” “Of the front line,” the six signs read.

They went up Tuesday, according to Hillary Miers, who handles all incoming referrals at Assured Home Health. And they will stay up as long as the COVID-19 pandemic is raging.

“We work directly with nurses and physical therapists, and we see firsthand what they do,” she said. “So we just wanted to do a little thank-you for them.”

“We don’t plan on taking them down,” Miers added.

Assured Home Health provides skilled nursing and physical therapy services for homebound patients to help them recover from injuries and major surgeries, Miers said.
