NATIONAL SUMMARY

A strong area of low pressure will slowly move through the

West Coast tomorrow and continue to bring widespread areas

of rain and showers through much of Oregon, Washington,

Idaho, Nevada and California. Temperatures aloft are such

that snow will be expected in the Sierras and southern

Cascades. A cold front associated with an area of low

pressure over eastern Canada will push through from the

Northeast through the Southeast, bringing showers with the

threat for thunder in the mid-Atlantic and Southeast. Dry

conditions are expected across the rest of the country, but

some windy conditions will be expected along the High

Plains. Some of these winds will gust as high as 20-30 mph

at times throughout the day.
