Ephrata man arrested after domestic violence burglary, assault
QUINCY - An Ephrata man accused of domestic violence burglary, assault, robbery and malicious mischief was arrested Monday evening by Quincy police.
David Segura Lopez, 33, of Ephrata, was booked on charges of first-degree robbery, second-degree assault, residential burglary, two counts of first-degree burglary, interfering with reporting a domestic violence, and third-degree domestic violence malicious mischief.
Lopez reportedly kicked in the door of his victim’s residence, punched the victim several times in the face, and then put his hands around her neck to restrict her breathing. He then allegedly stole miscellaneous items and the victim’s cellphone, impeding her ability to call the police, before fleeing the scene.
Police responded to the incident around 11 a.m. Monday and arrested Lopez during a traffic stop by evening. Lopez reportedly denied the assault and theft of property, but admitted to going to the victim’s home that morning, according to the Quincy Police Department.
