ROYAL CITY — McKenzie Garcia recorded a hat trick and Royal routed visiting College Place 8-0.
Garcia completed her hat trick in the 31st minute. Raylie Wardenaar, Jenae Mercado, Lindsey Carrasco, Natalia Rodriguez and Lizette Sandoval also scored for the Knights.
Depending on Tuesday’s results, Royal (8-3, 8-7) can climb as high as No. 2 in the South Central Athletic Conference East before playoffs begin.

Royal 67, River View 0
KENNEWICK — Caleb Christensen threw six touchdown passes and Royal beat River View 67-0 to clinch another South Central Athletic Conference East championship.
The Knights (5-0, 8-0) wasted little time, leading 28-0 after one quarter and 61-0 at half. Friday’s drubbing was Royal’s fourth straight shutout and sixth in its last seven games.
Cooper Christensen caught two of Caleb’s touchdown throws; Derek Bergeson caught two more, while Aldo Farias, Lorenzo Myrick and Carter Dorsing caught one touchdown apiece.
The undefeated Knights close their regular season at home against College Place Friday at 7 p.m.
Pullman 13, Othello 7
OTHELLO — Steven Ochoa rushed for a fourth-quarter touchdown, however, Othello lost its non-league game with Pullman 13-7.
Ochoa finished with 51 yards rushing to go with his touchdown. Isaac Barragan added 83 yards on the ground, which was about the extent of Othello’s offense. The Huskies (3-1, 4-4) completed three pases for 24 yards and runners not named Ochoa or Barragan accounted for 15 yards.
Othello will play Selah at Grandview High School on Saturday, 1 p.m., as part of the CWAC Championships.

Wahluke 3, Connell 1
WAHLUKE — Wahluke clinched the South Central Athletic Conference East championship after a 3-1 win against Connell.
The Warriors have only lost once in league play, a 4-3 shootout loss to Royal on Oct. 10.
Alondra Lozano scored twice and Ana Andrade added a goal.
Warden 2, College Place 1
COLLEGE PLACE — Warden broke a two-game losing streak, defeating College Place 2-1.
Arely Rangel and Aaliyah Escamilla scored a goal apiece for the second-place Cougars. Warden closes the regular season with a rematch against Wahluke on Oct. 29.

GRANDVIEW — Hailee Guzman scored twice and Othello (6-2, 10-5) defeated Grandview (3-5, 4-8) 2-1.
Janelly Verduzco assisted on Guzman’s second goal with a through ball. The win helped Othello stay in the No. 3 spot for districts. The Huskies will have an opportunity to move into second with a win against Ellensburg in the regular-season finale.
Kiona-Benton 2, Warden 1
WARDEN — Warden dropped into a tie for third place in the South Central Athletic Conference East after losing to Kiona-Benton (5-5, 7-7) 2-1.
Aaliyah Escamilla scored the Cougars’ (7-3, 8-4-2) lone goal.

WARDEN — League leader Kiona-Benton swept Warden 25-8, 25-7, 25-16.
“Ki-Be played at a faster pace offensively tonight,” head coach Dennis Treat said.
Freshmen Celety Egia and Brooke Gibbons added four digs and two digs and an assist, respectively.
