Public Notice Grant County Mosquito Control District #1 (GCMCD) is announcing the beginning of the spray application season. The district will be utilizing multiple insecticides for 2019. These include Vectobac GS, VectoMax FG, Altosid, Natular G, Natular G30, Metalarv, CoCo Bear, Duet, Zenivex, and Merus. The active ingredients of these insecticides are Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis, Bacillus sphaericus, Methoprene, Spinosad, mineral oil, Sumithrin, Piperonyl Butoxide, Prallethrin, Pyrethrin, and Etofenprox. Spray applications will begin in March and continue through October 2019, all of which are weather dependent. Treatment locations will be within the mosquito control district boundary which can be found on our website www.gcmcd1.org. More information about the insecticides planned for use can be found at www.clarke.com and www.valentbiosciences.com.
