NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held by the Grant County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) in the Commissioners' Hearing Room located on the 1st floor of the Grant County Courthouse at 35 C Street NW in Ephrata, Washington, on Monday, March 25, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. The purpose of the public hearing is to review community development and housing needs, inform citizens of the availability of funds and eligible uses of the state Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds, and receive comments on proposed activities, particularly from lower income persons residing in the Grant and Adams County areas. Grant County intends to apply for CDBG funding in 2019: (1) CDBG Public Services Grant Funding; and (2) CDBG General Purpose Grant funding.2019 Public Services Grant Application and 2018 Project Performance It is anticipated that perhaps approximately $125,000 (but likely less) will be available to the County and Opportunities Industrialization Center of Washington (OIC of WA) to fund public service activities that principally benefit low and moderate income persons in Grant and Adams Counties. The draft application for the CDBG Public Service Grant proposal will be available for review at the Grant County Commissioners office on March 18th and afterwards.
