Parents urged back to school

Back to school night at Chief Moses Junior High School is 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. All parents and students may come and get acquainted, tour the school, visit classrooms and meet teachers.

The event is sponsored by Chief Moses Parents-Teachers-Students Association, and the open house is the start of its membership drive.

“Our goal is to have full parent-student participation so that families are involved,” said Jeanette Laxton, PTS member.

She said there is a need for parents to become informed about their student’s education by attending Tuesday’s event.

Parents of ninth-graders will be given a special presentation of the plans for study and preparation of graduation requirements from Moses Lake High School.

Parent participation in graduation requirements will continue through the three grade levels of high school, she said. See photo at right.
