BELLINGHAM — WinCo Foods announced on Friday that Rader Farms, of Bellingham, is recalling the Winco brand, 12-ounce bags of frozen red raspberries, according to the Winco and U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) websites.

The recall is being prompted by the presence of Norovirus in a sample of raspberries tested by the FDA. The red raspberries were frozen and distributed under UPC 70552-30501 with lot code 4045902 and an expiration date of Feb. 13, 2021. Norovirus can cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and stomach pain. So far no reports of illness have been reported.

All potentially contaminated frozen red raspberries have been removed from WinCo Foods freezers. The product was distributed in stores throughout Arizona, California, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oklahoma, Oregon, Washington, Texas, and Utah. Customers who have the product in their freezers are encouraged to discard or return them to WinCo Foods stores for a full refund or product replacement.

Rader Farms is voluntarily initiating the recall.
