Francisca Montemayor

March 15, 1933 – June 12, 2019

Francisca Montemayor, 86, a longtime resident of Othello, passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at The Village Adult Home Care in Othello, Washington. Francisca was born March 15, 1933 in Mexico to Preocopio and Maria DelRefugio Montemayor. She lived in the Othello area for 65 years.

On June 30, 1956 Francisca married Manuel Montemayor in Mexico, then moved to the Othello area where they started their family. Francisca was a homemaker and occasionally worked seasonal farm work. After her husband retired in 1993, she enjoyed traveling back and forth to Mexico. However, her greatest love was spending time with her husband and family.

Francisca was a very loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother. The family cannot put into words how much she will be missed.

Survivors include two sons Juan (Esmeralda) of Warden and Joe (Timo) of Othello, one daughter Martha (Don) of Othello and one sister Amelia Montemayor of Spokane. She has 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Her husband Manuel Montemayor, parents, sisters and a brother preceded her in death.

Viewing and visitation will be held Tuesday, June 18, 2019 from 5-6 p.m. at the Stevens Funeral Chapel in Othello with rosary recited at 6 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at 10 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Othello. Burial will take place at Bess Hampton Memorial Gardens in Othello following the funeral services.
