At least 3 campers destroyed in RV park fire
MOSES LAKE — A fire that ignited in a camper at the Cougar Campers RV Park near Moses Lake also destroyed at least two other campers Tuesday afternoon, according to fire officials. Medical transportation service American Medical Response declined to comment on whether any injuries occurred.
The Red Cross has been called to provide aid to those affected by the blaze. Displaced residents from the Cougar Campers RV Park, which holds lower-income individuals and families, will receive immediate assistance from the Red Cross, said Kyle Foreman, a spokesman for the Grant County Sheriff’s Office.
The Red Cross can offer supplies at the scene and issue short-term hotel vouchers for those made homeless by the fire, Foreman said. Those who wish to can donate to the Red Cross and specify that they wish to support those affected by the Cougar Campers fire, he added.
