Warden approves engineering work

| July 30, 2019 11:10 PM

WARDEN — The Warden City Council had a brief meeting on Tuesday, July 23. No staff reports were given, as two of the department heads were not present.

In business, the council approved Gray & Osborne to oversee the construction that is about to take place on Weir Way and Eighth Street. Gray & Osborne is a consultant engineering firm that is used by the City of Warden.

“As the consultant, once the project goes into construction phase, G&O monitors the project for the city,” wrote Kriss Shuler in the council’s packet. “G&O is the liaison between the city and the contractor. If there are any discrepancies or state agencies that need to provide approval, G&O follows up and resolves the issues upon consultation with the city staff.”

Work for the Weir Way and Eighth Street construction projects will be performed by Tommer Construction of Ephrata.
