Construction meeting set

If your street is going to be paved, you’d probably like to know the details.

A pre-construction meeting for the street work to be done during the 1981 mid-Peninsula block grant program will be held at 7 p.m. today at the Peninsula School Gymnasium.

If you live on Barbara, Schneirla, Sycamore or Basin Streets, where the work will be done, the meeting may concern you.

Adams County fair PCA meeting set Friday

The 47th annual Central Washington Production Credit Association Stockholders’ Meeting will be held at the Hallmark Inn Friday.

PCA President Ron L. Brown expects a large turnout of member farmers and ranchers. Registration begins at 11:15 a.m.

The luncheon meeting at 11:45 a.m. will feature Dr Wilbur Schaeffer, director of economic studies for World Research Institute, Washington D.C.

Financial reports from association management and elections for the PCA Board of Directors also will be held.

The Central Washington PCA has offices in Yakima and Moses Lake and field offices in Quincy, Royal City and Sunnyside to provide short and intermediate term credit to farmers and ranchers.
