MOSES LAKE — At least seven shots were fired from moving vehicles Wednesday evening following a brief fight inside of the Moses Lake Circle K, a gas station and convenience store.

A cashier at the location indicated that a group of three men initially entered the convenience store around 4 p.m. and were pouring themselves drinks from the soda fountain when a second group of three men entered the store and circled behind them.

A fight started between the two groups and sodas were spilled, causing the brawling men to lose their footing and slip, the cashier said. The men then left the store, got into their respective vehicles and drove south along North Stratford Road before turning off onto Knolls Vista Drive, the cashier said. One vehicle pursued the other, and least seven shots were fired from the pursuing vehicle at the other during this time, an official with the Moses Lake Police Department said.

“I’m just glad they didn’t start shooting inside,” the cashier said. “I’m fine, but I’m smoking more than usual tonight.”

Police are currently investigating the incident and searching for the men involved, though law enforcement has identified a number of people of interest.
