School security forum scheduled for Othello

OTHELLO — Othello School District patrons are being invited to a public meeting to talk about current and future school security. The “safety forum” is scheduled for 6 p.m. March 5 at the McFarland Middle School auditorium.

The middle school is located at 790 S. 10th Ave.

District administrators will be joined by Othello Police Department personnel and the district’s “Safe Schools” team. Presenters will review steps being taken to improve safety at Othello schools and the results of research into the most effective techniques. District patrons will be asked for their opinions of some of the options available.
