MOSES LAKE — Moses Lake police responded just after midnight Sunday to reports that a residence on South Blessing Road had been shot four times by a shotgun loaded with birdshot, pelting the garage door, the front door, the awning above the entrance and the kitchen window.

Police, who believe the shooting was a drive-by, contacted two female juveniles inside the home who were uninjured and told law enforcement they had hidden in a closet when they heard the gunshots.

Although damage to the garage door, front door and awning was largely superficial, the kitchen window had shattered and spilled glass into the kitchen.

Police believe a disturbance at West Broadway Avenue during the same night may have been related, and currently have at least one person of interest in the case, Moses Lake Police Chief Kevin Fuhr said Tuesday.
