Royal School District reports brief lockdown
The Royal School District had a brief lockdown on Friday, Dec. 20 from approximately 11:16 a.m. to 11:47 a.m.
“A student made a report to school administrators of a perceived incident,” the district reported on their Facebook page. “Following protocol, the district was immediately placed in a modified lockdown as a precautionary measure.”
After an investigation by the Royal City Police Department, it was determined that the students statement had no accuracy to it.
“The district takes all reports of safety concerns seriously and we greatly appreciate the cooperation of our students, staff, and local law enforcement in ensuring safety as our number one priority,” said the Facebook post.
